| Zusammenfassung: | Il presente saggio, nella convinzione oramai condivisa che l’abito ritratto in pittura e in scultura nella più parte dei casi sia la fedele riproduzione delle vesti indossate al tempo, testimonianza della sua cultura materiale, si sofferma su vesti, acconciature e ornamenti della scultura in marmo del "Rinascimento" siciliano in quanto pienamente partecipi del dibattito culturale allora in corso al pari di altre manifestazioni (territoriali, urbanistiche, architettoniche, artistiche, spettacolari e letterarie) della società isolana tra Quattro e Cinquecento. The present essay, in the now accepted belief that the dress portrayed in painting and sculpture in most cases is a faithful reproduction of the clothes worn at the time, a testimony of its material culture, dwells on the robes, hairstyles and ornaments of Sicilian "Renaissance" marble sculpture. They prove to be fully participants in the cultural debate then underway on a par with other manifestations (territorial, urban planning, architectural, artistic, spectacular and literary) of that society between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. |
