"Neobaroque" in Ukrainian art in 1980s-2000s: analysis of national experience

| Abstract: | The article analyzes the peculiarities of the interpretation of Baroque traditions in the art of the late 1980s–2000s years. In the works of artists the Baroque appeared not only as one of the main traditions of Ukrainian art, but also as a cross-cutting problem of national culture, which requires discussion and study. Exploring in a figurative way the contradictions of national experience, the new artists drew attention to the issues of national history, to contradictions of socio-political progress and cultural development of the country. |
