Abstract: | Interwar European minority questions have been predominantly discussed in the context of Eastern Europe until now. This book challenges that geographical emphasis by examining both Eastern and Western European experiences. It thus lays the foundation for a new comparative international history of the relations between national majorities and minorities in Europe after the Great War. Building on the assumption that nationalist conflicts are based on dynamic interactions between multiple actors, this book brings together different perspectives and methodological approaches (political, social and transnational) to provide a comprehensive account of minority questions between the two World Wars |

This book challenges that geographical emphasis by examining both Eastern and Western European experiences. It thus lays the foundation for a new comparative international history of the relations between national majorities and minorities in Europe after the Great War. Building on the assumption that nationalist conflicts are based on dynamic interactions between multiple actors, this book brings together different perspectives and methodological approaches (political, social and transnational) to provide a comprehensive account of minority questions between the two World Wars</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="648" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield spelling | Sovereignty, nationalism, and the quest for homogeneity in interwar Europe edited by Emmanuel Dalle Mulle, Davide Rodogno, and Mona Bieling London ; New York ; Oxford ; New Delhi ; Sydney Bloomsbury Academic 2023 xvii, 304 Seiten 24,2 cm txt rdacontent n rdamedia nc rdacarrier Interwar European minority questions have been predominantly discussed in the context of Eastern Europe until now. This book challenges that geographical emphasis by examining both Eastern and Western European experiences. It thus lays the foundation for a new comparative international history of the relations between national majorities and minorities in Europe after the Great War. Building on the assumption that nationalist conflicts are based on dynamic interactions between multiple actors, this book brings together different perspectives and methodological approaches (political, social and transnational) to provide a comprehensive account of minority questions between the two World Wars Geschichte 19198-1939 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1918-1939 gnd rswk-swf Politik (DE-588)4046514-7 gnd rswk-swf Souveränität (DE-588)4132367-1 gnd rswk-swf Nationalismus (DE-588)4041300-7 gnd rswk-swf Nationalstaat (DE-588)4041331-7 gnd rswk-swf Nationale Minderheit (DE-588)4039409-8 gnd rswk-swf Minderheitenpolitik (DE-588)4170001-6 gnd rswk-swf Europa (DE-588)4015701-5 gnd rswk-swf Minorities / Europe / History / 20th century Nationalism / Europe / History / 20th century Europe / Politics and government / 20th century Minorities Nationalism Politics and government Europe 1900-1999 History (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Europa (DE-588)4015701-5 g Politik (DE-588)4046514-7 s Nationalstaat (DE-588)4041331-7 s Nationalismus (DE-588)4041300-7 s Nationale Minderheit (DE-588)4039409-8 s Souveränität (DE-588)4132367-1 s Geschichte 19198-1939 z DE-604 Minderheitenpolitik (DE-588)4170001-6 s Geschichte 1918-1939 z Dalle Mulle, Emmanuel 1985- (DE-588)1152226088 edt Rodogno, Davide 1972- (DE-588)173805418 edt Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=034320121&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Register // Gemischte Register |
