| Zusammenfassung: | The dissertation offers an analysis of postgraduate academic training in Germany from a sociological and pedagogical perspective. The work is based on the theory that the postgraduate academic training suffers from a lack of professionalisation - at an organisational as well as at a personal level. On the basis of a grounded theory study the author develops a complex picture of work in postgraduate academic training. The outcome is an empirically based and grounded theory model of action in the social world of postgraduate academic training. The focus lies on the action strategies and self image of those involved in combination with the particular structural conditions. Die Dissertation bietet eine Analyse der Hochschulweiterbildung in Deutschland aus soziologischer und pädagogischer Sicht. Die Arbeit basiert auf der These, dass die Hochschulweiterbildung an einem Professionalisierungsdefizit leidet - auf organisationaler wie auch auf personaler Ebene. Auf Grundlage einer Grounded-Theory-Studie entwickelt die Autorin ein komplexes Bild der Arbeit in der Hochschulweiterbildung.
