| Abstract: | Le dessin de lignes noires sur une surface blanche a constitué pendant de nombreuses années une des pratiques de Michael Scott. Différents protocoles ont été élaborés pour la réalisation des peintures : épaississement des lignes de 1% pour une série de 39 tableaux, par exemple. La confusion optique, l'obsession manuelle d'une perfection impossible bornent un des aspects de l'art de l'artiste.0Le dessin sur feuille libre à l'encre a pris de l'importance depuis 2007, à tel point qu'il a semblé impératif d'en rassembler une bonne centaine dans un livre qui inaugure la collection ± The Drawing Centre?, édité selon des intuitions visuelles et de motifs qui, soit se confortent l'un l'autre, soit divergent ostensiblement.
