Abstract: | This new handbook provides a comprehensive and multidisciplinary overview of the theoretical and empirical aspects of state recognition in international politics. Although the recognition of states plays a central role in shaping global politics, it remains an under-researched and widely dispersed subject. Coherently and innovatively structured, the handbook brings together a group of international scholars who examine the most important theoretical and comparative perspectives on state recognition, including debates about pathways to secession and self-determination, the broad range of actors and strategies that shape the recognition of states and a significant number of contemporary case studies. The handbook is organised into four key sections: Theoretical and normative perspectives; Pathways to independent statehood; Actors, forms and the process of state recognition; Case studies of contemporary state recognition |

The handbook is organised into four key sections: Theoretical and normative perspectives; Pathways to independent statehood; Actors, forms and the process of state recognition; Case studies of contemporary state recognition</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Anerkennung</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4128520-7</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Völkerrecht</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4063693-8</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1="0" ind2="7"><subfield code="a">Staat</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4056618-3</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd</subfield><subfield code="9">rswk-swf</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="655" ind1=" " ind2="7"><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4143413-4</subfield><subfield code="a">Aufsatzsammlung</subfield><subfield code="2">gnd-content</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="0"><subfield code="a">Staat</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4056618-3</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="1"><subfield code="a">Anerkennung</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4128520-7</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2="2"><subfield code="a">Völkerrecht</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)4063693-8</subfield><subfield code="D">s</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="689" ind1="0" ind2=" "><subfield code="5">DE-604</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Visoka, Gëzim</subfield><subfield code="d">1986-</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)1117479390</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Doyle, John</subfield><subfield code="d">1964-</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)140465170</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Newman, Edward</subfield><subfield code="d">1970-</subfield><subfield code="0">(DE-588)124421520</subfield><subfield code="4">edt</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="776" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Erscheint auch als</subfield><subfield code="n">Druck-Ausgabe, Hardcover</subfield><subfield code="z">978-0-8153-5487-1</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">https://doi.org/10.4324/9781351131759</subfield><subfield code="x">Verlag</subfield><subfield code="z">URL des Erstveröffentlichers</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-7-TFC</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">ZDB-7-RHO</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="943" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">oai:aleph.bib-bvb.de:BVB01-031678167</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="966" ind1="e" ind2=" "><subfield code="u">https://doi.org/10.4324/9781351131759</subfield><subfield code="l">DE-12</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-7-TFC</subfield><subfield code="x">Verlag</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="966" ind1="e" ind2=" "><subfield code="u">https://doi.org/10.4324/9781351131759</subfield><subfield code="l">DE-20</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-7-RHO</subfield><subfield code="x">Verlag</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="966" ind1="e" ind2=" "><subfield code="u">https://doi.org/10.4324/9781351131759</subfield><subfield code="l">DE-706</subfield><subfield code="p">ZDB-7-TFC</subfield><subfield code="x">Verlag</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield></record></collection> |
