Attention is paid to developments in Mozambique, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, and particularly to the Republic of the Sudan, where there is concern for the balance between urgent needs for the economic development of the Nile's waters, and the effects on patterns of human settlement.
