Zusammenfassung: | What are the legacies of genocide and mass violence for individuals and the social worlds in which they live, and what are the local processes of recovery? Genocide and Mass Violence aims to examine, from a cross-cultural perspective, the effects of mass trauma on multiple levels of a group or society and the recovery processes and sources of resilience. How do particular individuals recall the trauma? How do ongoing reconciliation processes and collective representations of the trauma impact the group? How does the trauma persist in 'symptoms'? How are the effects of trauma transmitted across generations in memories, rituals, symptoms, and interpersonal processes? What are local healing resources that aid recovery? To address these issues, this book brings into conversation psychological and medical anthropologists, psychiatrists, psychologists and historians. The theoretical implications of the chapters are examined in detail using several analytic frameworks |

Kirmayer What are the legacies of genocide and mass violence for individuals and the social worlds in which they live, and what are the local processes of recovery? The theoretical implications of the chapters are examined in detail using several analytic frameworks Genocide / Case studies Violence / Case studies Social psychology / Case studies Kollektives Gedächtnis (DE-588)4200793-8 gnd rswk-swf Bewältigung (DE-588)4195461-0 gnd rswk-swf Völkermord (DE-588)4063690-2 gnd rswk-swf Gewalt (DE-588)4020832-1 gnd rswk-swf Kriegsverbrechen (DE-588)4033151-9 gnd rswk-swf Psychisches Trauma (DE-588)4060749-5 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)4522595-3 Fallstudiensammlung gnd-content Völkermord (DE-588)4063690-2 s Kriegsverbrechen (DE-588)4033151-9 s Gewalt (DE-588)4020832-1 s Psychisches Trauma (DE-588)4060749-5 s Kollektives Gedächtnis (DE-588)4200793-8 s Bewältigung (DE-588)4195461-0 s 1\p DE-604 Hinton, Devon E. edt Hinton, Alexander Laban edt Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-1-107-06954-1 Erscheint auch als Druckausgabe 978-1-107-69469-9 https://doi.org/10.1017/CBO9781107706859 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
