Aufl. 1986) trägt der Entwicklung der Forschung Rechnung: Sie arbeitet auf deskriptiv-funktionaler Grundlage, gibt eine kurze Einführung in historische Fragestellungen, diskutiert morphologische, syntaktische und semantische Fragestellungen und stellt exemplarisch die wichtigsten Wortbildungstypen vor. Dazu werden textbezogene und psycholinguistische Aspekte behandelt. Damit spiegelt das Heft den mehrmaligen Paradigmenwechsel der Sprachwissenschaft der vergangenen fünfzig Jahre, von der historischen Sprachwissenschaft über den klassischen Strukturalismus (Morphologie) zur generativen Grammatik (Syntax und Semantik) zu pragmalinguistischen, textbezogenen Arbeiten Main description: The third edition of this study aid (first edition 1972; second edition 1986) reflects the progress made in research on the topic.
