How do second language learners text/discourse
abilities develop? The present monograph contributes
to this largely unanswered question by investigating
narrative texts produced by elementary school stu¬
dents in an English immersion program in Germany.
On the basis of a psycholinguistic model of discourse
production, the texts are analyzed with respect to
their coherence and cohesion.
