century: state administration and public bodies
The main attention in the monograph focuses on the study of the
structure and nature of the system s function of state administration
and self-government of territorial communities of the South
Kyivschyna during the
60
s.
XIV —
the
60
s.
XVI
century.
In order to achieve this goal, we resoWed a number of research
tasks. First of all, revealed the state of scientific processing threads, as
well as quantitative and qualitative level of her spring base.
Significant attention is paid to historical reasons and factors that
influenced the fonnation and activity of state administration and
self-government of the South Kyivschyna. Investigated the specific
formation and structure of the castle (village elder) governments in
Cherkasy and Kaniv, as well as refined and is known today the
personnel composition of Cherkasy and Kaniv statesmen, governors
and the village elder and their chronological order of tenure. Special
attention is focused on the functions and powers of local government
officials. Addressed the complex issues of the system s function of
self-government: analysed the evolution of forms of the territorial
communities; reconstructed self-governmental organization of rural
and urban population; it is proved that the public authorities,
including the city, has a significant strain as a result of interference
in the affairs of state power.

century. Presented
in the book of materials related to the domains of the South
Kyivschyna, represented, as known, by Cherkaskiy and Kanivskiy
regions (village elder). This is
iar
from being exhausted monograph
research history of state administration and self-government in the
South Kyivschyna in day of Lithuanian superiority. We hope that the
proposed at the discretion of the reader to work not only to fill
certain gaps in learning about the past of this region, but also will
spur discussion and stimulates research searches characterized in the
book.
