Abstract:Abstract: "Object identity plays a key role in object-oriented systems, including deductive and object-oriented databases (DOODs). We revisit various discussions about it, propose some criteria to represent object identity, and focus mainly on the characteristics in Quixote, which is a knowledge representation language developed by ICOT and can be considered as one of DOOD languages. In Quixote, object identifiers are written in the form of extended term and constitute a lattice based on the subsumption relation. We also discuss some features related to object identity of Quixote."
