| Abstract: | Abstract: "The Cedar performance measurement facilities provide users with an option to trace special events such as count, time and virtual memory statistics in addition to user-specified events. The textual interpretation of an event trace can be confusing for large trace files. Xcount is a tool designed to graphically display and interpret count-related events. It provides multiple viewing of global counters or task specific counters. This document describes the organization, operation, and the use of Xcount. The tool has been designed for Cedar multiprocessor system running Xylem, but it can also be used for the traces produced on an Alliant FX/8 machine." |
