Ihe book consists of hye chapters, each built around a specific thesis drawing upon philosophers and concepts including George Canguilhem, Rachel Garson, Donna Harawav, Lamarck's and Darwin’s evolutionary theories, Humboldt's theory of nature, and the Gaia hypothesis.
