| Abstract: | "This book is part of the Thornton Center Chinese Thinkers Series, which introduces some of the most influential recent works by prominent Chinese scholars to English language readers and aims to shed light on ongoing academic and policy debates in China. These thinkers are also known for their divergent political views and associations. Each volume, translated from original Chinese publications, includes writings by a leading scholar in a particular academic field (e.g., political science, economics, law, or philosophy). This new volume focuses on Chinese youth issues and is written by Li Chunling, professor of sociology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and an internationally renowned scholar of the millennial generation.
