Robyn Orlin beschäftigt sich stets mit Figuren, Symbolen und Emblemen der Macht, die ausnahmslos der westlichen Kultur entstammen, um sie zu sezieren und ihre verborgenen Seiten zu enthüllen. In ihrem neuen Solo wendet sich die Choreografin aus Südafrika, dem Sonnenkönig Louis XIV zu. Gemeinsam mit dem Pariser Tänzer Benjamin Pech und dem Musiker Loris Barrucand widmet sie sich dem ersten Tänzer im Französischen Königreich und dem Erfinder des Klassischen Balletts, der den Tanz als Instrument im Dienste seiner Politik nutzte.[...]" [Quelle: Abendzettel] |
