Abstract:This work presents a semi-critical edition of the model sermon collection "Sermones moralissimi de tempore" by the French Franciscan Nicolaus de Aquaevilla, who lived in the late thirteenth century. It contains sixty sermons for the ordinary Sundays and the great Christological feasts. Model sermons offer editorial problems due to their big size and fluid character as well as the large number of textual witnesses. The aim is to find a pragmatic method to publish one influential version, and the edition is thus based on an incunable, printed shortly before 1480. Variants from three manuscripts are recorded in the critical apparatus. (2008-2015)
