| Abstract: | Report of a study (1979-1987) on the range ecology of the Porcupine Caribou Herd of Grant's caribou (Rangifer tarandus-granti)that migrates annually from summer range on the arctic coastal plain of Alaska and Yukon to winter in the forested valleys and plains of north-central Yukon and western Alaska. The study was undertaken by the Yukon Dept. of Renewable Resources and the Canadian Wildlife Service because of concern about proposed developments within the range of the caribou. |
